AGENDA FOR THE PBM IMPLEMENTATION
The following are the critical path items of implementation recommended by DpRx:
1. PBM Orientation of implementers and support organizations (by DpRx)
2. Implementation Task Plan development and agreement
3. Conversion of databases to DpRx standards (by DpRx )
4. Installation and hosting accommodations for PBM data center
5. Installation of TeleCLAIM software and preliminary testing (by DpRx )
6. Orientation of application management and personnel to PBM operations (by DpRx)
7. Training of PBM administrative and operational personnel (by DpRx)
8. Organization of Pharmacy network participants – requirements and contractual accord.
9. Training of Pharmacy POS operators and pharmacists.
10. Distribution and promotion of Benefit Plan documentation to member citizen clients.
11. Limited Roll-out of test pharmacy sites.
12. Full roll-out of all participating pharmacies
13. First month-end billing and payables accounting (for financial control totals)
Each of the items listed above shall be detailed in description upon award of PBM contract and agreement on entity assignments.
As mentioned previously, the training tasks mentioned above may be greatly expedited by the earlier experience of operators using the Infotech Inventory system.
